Robert
Bruce Thompson is the president of Triad Technology Group, Inc., a computer
networking consultantcy, and the author of several current and forthcoming
O'Reilly and Associates books about computer networking, TCP/IP, Windows NT,
Windows 2000, and PC hardware. He works in his home office, surrounded by (at
last count) more than a dozen PCs, and maintains a computerish on-line daily
journal page. Robert's wife, Barbara,
works as a freelance researcher in her home office. They have no children, but
do have three Border Collie dogs, all of whom are angling for their own web
